About V&V

My name is Melissa and I'm a professional makeup and prosthetics artist. I've worked in makeup and prosthetics departments on film and TV productions including The Rings of Power, The Witcher, Star Wars IX and Marvel's Black Widow, as well as multiple music videos for artists such as JP Cooper and Sipho, and a number of other independent projects, photoshoots and events.

I have a background in classic makeup, having trained at the London School of Makeup and worked for retail beauty brands Nars and Charlotte Tilbury where I gained a huge amount of experience in professional level beauty makeup. I then decided to pursue my passion for the weird and wonderful, studying prosthetics and creature FX at the Gorton Studio.

 

Since then I have continued to develop my love for creature and character driven makeup. Whether it's creating elves, fairies and goblins, a horror villain or a scaled monster, I absolutely adore bringing a vision to life that is strange, fantastical and beautiful.
